Run # 990 this week was at Nui Dinh Mountain, the Nui Dinh to Soui Da trail. Starting at the rock pools on Nui Dinh road we flew down the 100 steps to the rock pool, over the bridge and up the other side to the small temple. Passing through the temple we head down a small valley and up the other side to reach the real start of the hard part of the trail. With excitement we headed down the side of the valley wall, over the big rocks, under the fallen bamboo, slipping and sliding down the side of the mountain. After fifteen minutes we reached the trail that led around the side of the mountain which made everyone happy. Then with shock we headed down the side of the mountain again to the fat Buddha statue and waterfall. The usual selfies took place at the Buddha statue and under the waterfall, but it was dry no water, as it is the wrong season. We set off again passing through another small temple, past another dry water fall onto the big temple that led to Soui Da. With glee we set off again to Soui da along the well-trodden path we have used many times before. Reaching Soui Da we passed the 4-rock pools and down to the DD spot. With a cool breeze blowing we ripped into the beer, guzzling can after can, to quench our thirst. The circle commenced sinners were doused with icy cold beer, returnees offered their meager excuses as to why they had been away, and the hares were soaked in beer. As the sun began to set, hashers suitably lubricated, the circle complete and all beer consumed, food eaten we loaded the hash bus and headed back to the home of the Hash in Vung Tau the Pacific Bia Tuoi. See you all at run # 991 – On On.
