Run # 988 this week was at Soui Nghe Mountain starting at the sheep farm. We set off along the flatlands reaching the side of the mountain and headed through the woods following a riverbed, after crossing we set off up the side of the mountain to the first look out point. 23 was first to reach the lookout, ripping out her camera to take selfies as usual as the other hashers followed in a steady trickle. Next, we set off to the 2nd lookout point two thirds up the side of the mountain, the view from here of Minh Dam and Nui Dinh was beautiful. The usual selfies took place, when all the hashers were satisfied, we set off to the last lookout point with magnificent views of Ba Ria to Vung Tau. In the baking sun we set off down the side of the mountain, which was steep, not a trail for kids. But without fear we trundled down the side of the mountain getting bitten by ants, skidding over the dry ground, and finally reaching the bottom. With glee that all the hard work was done we set off in Indian file back to the sheep farm with the sweet smell of beer permeating in the air. The afternoon weather at was great not too hot, we had a great shady spot for the DD, the beer was whoofed down and the food disappeared in nano seconds. No monkeys this week only sheep and lots of them. The down down was enjoyed by all, sinners were doused with icy cold beer, returnees lambasted at their weak excuses as to why they had been away, and the hares were soaked in beer. As the sun began to set, hashers suitably lubricated, the circle complete and all beer consumed, we loaded the hash bus and headed back to the home of the Hash in Vung Tau the Pacific Bia Tuoi. See you all at run # 989 – On On.
