Run # 984 this week was at Con Gio Island at Monkey park. At 9:15am the hashers started to arrive at the ferry terminal at 127C Tran Phu, buying their tickets for themselves and some for their motorbikes. At 9:45am we started to board the Ferry, 50 hashers walking and a procession of Motorbikes for the hashers who wanted to go on their motorbike. The Hash beer truck met us at the ferry loading ramp and we quickly unloaded the beer truck and stowed our rations on the ferry. 10:00am came and we were off to Con Gio on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning, crossing the bay in 25 minutes in flat calm seas we arrived at Con Gio. The usual rush to disembark from the ferry ensued everyone trying to be first off and be first onto the two buses we had waiting at the terminal, but we had to unload all our supplies and load the bus. Fifteen minutes passed and the bus doors closed, and we were off to Monkey park with an average speed of the 80kmh we arrived at monkey park in a very short time. After purchasing our park entry tickets and golf buggy ticket, we set off to the main walk all smiling and happy on the adventure, but some smiles soon disappeared as the local monkeys well trained stole some hashers glasses, lighters and inspected any open bags looking for goodies. We spent almost two hours at the park enjoying the walk and viewing the sites, but time was marching on and we set off back to the buses and headed to the beach down down spot. Arriving at the beach down down spot we quickly unloaded the supplies set up the down down and sat down to enjoy the afternoon. Miss Cuc had brought a birthday cake, the seafood ordered was enjoyed by all as we sat at the beach relaxing. But as usual time passed quickly, and it was time to head back to the ferry back to Vung Tau. We had a great return trip on the ferry drinking beer out the back and waving bye bye to Con Gio, it was a two can trip back hihihih. The hash beer truck was waiting we quicky loaded it, unloaded at the Bia Tuoi and then went to the restaurant with thirty hashers enjoyed a great meal late into the night. See you all next week on Run # 985 – On On.
