Run # 982 this week was at Nui Dinh Mountain the OMG trail. Starting at the base of Nui Dinh on the road, we commenced the run along a flat path in the boiling sun.  The climb was a non-stop event, no return, and no short cuts all the way to the top of Nui Dinh.  It was not long before we started to feel the heat and the inclination of the mountain started to increase.  Step by step the trail inclined and the rockier it became, with small pebbles, medium rocks and big boulders to climb over.  One third of the way it was rest time, selfie time before we set off again. Two thirds of the way up it was hot, but we persevered up and up till 85% of the way to the top the climb flattened out, in the shade of the trees with the heat dropping we continued on up further we went along a narrow trail till we reached the top and the lake where we sat down for a refreshing drink at the café, recovered we set off along the gravel road to the down down spot where turning the corner we could see the bus.  Upon arrival at the hash bus, we were greeted with ice cold beer which was gulped down at light speed.  The afternoon was enjoyed by all with a great party spot, dancing, partying, the circle and of course the cake for International Women’s day which was scoffed down hastily.  Rope games ensued, skipping competitions and finally a tug of war between the ladies and men, and of course the men let the ladies’ win!  The weather was great, and the afternoon was enjoyed by all.  As the sun began to set, all hashers suitably lubricated. the circle complete and all beer consumed, we loaded the hash bus and headed back to the home of the Hash in Vung Tau the Pacific Bia Tuoi.  See you all at run # 983 – On On.
