Run # 967 was a great trail on Big Mountain, thirty-seven hashers rolled up the home of the Hash the “Pacific Bia Tuoi” ready to go. After registrations were complete, the hash beer truck was packed with beer, softies, food; we set off on our hash motorbikes to Pool 28, after arriving we boarded the hash electric golf karts and head out to Tran Phu hem 400. The chalk talk was delivered by Stubble then we set off up hem 400 reaching hem 444 on Tran Phu and to the start of the trail. With a rush we set off up the side of the mountain which was muddy and very steep. The weather was overcast and the terrain damp as we headed up the side of the mountain towards the Lazaretto bunker. Over the rocks, under the fallen trees, through the thick bamboo we climbed slipping and sliding away as we went. A quick detour and selfies ensued as we visited another hidden bunker on the way to the peak. Reaching the top with a sigh of relief, we reached the ridge line road at the Lazaretto bunker, we set off along the road heading to the 610 steps decent down to Tran Phu some 2 km away. Reaching the small temple with haste we descended the 610 steps to the temple at Tran Phu and then on to Pool 28.

Mr. Tien had done his great job as usual the Sagota larger, pure and premium beer was icy cold and a great refresher after the walk. The beer flowed fast, hashers went swimming, music played from the hash rock box and the party got into full swing. The circle ensued new hashers were welcomed; sinners were doused in beer and the group picture was taken and more beer guzzled. With six crates of beer consumed the beer truck arrived and loaded we set off in the dusk back to the hash home at the Bia Toui – On On
