This week’s run # 953 was on Big Mountain, with the down down at the Tran Phu 102, forty hashers rolled up the home of the Hash the “Pacific Bia Tuoi”. After registrations were complete, we set off to the down down spot at Tran Phu 102, after we parked our hash motorbikes, we hailed two golf buggy size taxis and headed to the start of the trail at Vibar 36. The chalk talk was given by Mother Teresa, once completed we were off on the trail heading up Vibar 36 to the trail that lead to the Bendig bunker at the peak of the mountain. The climb to the bunker is a trail of difference with many ups and down, large rock formations to traverse with a final push to the top of the mountain to the Bendig bunker. After a short rest at the bunker the hashers rallied and we set off again on the next leg along the ridge line road heading to the left turn leading to the Mother of Mary cross. With the undergrowth thick and very overgrown slipping and sliding we meandered our way through the undergrowth till we reached the pinnacle. With the cross in sight we set off down the side of the mountain then up the side of the mountain and the final decent to the cross. With selfies taken we set off down the 1200 steps down to the mother of Mary statue at a steady pace. With the aroma of Sagota beer in the air we raced down the last steps along the road turning left and ran back to the down down spot at Tran Phu 102. The beer was prepared by our brewmeister Peemaker who had already placed it on ice, stunningly cold we imbibed copious quantities to quench our thirst. The hash rock box was ignited, music blazed away as we danced, chatted and enjoyed the brilliant food. The circle was excellently run by Captain Morgan. three of our Russian team received hash names and sinners were doused for various offences and returnees drenched for their poor excuses of nonattendance, another great run – On On
