Run # 951 took place at Long Son Island with the down down at the Boss Café.  Thirty hashers (as per corona rules) arrived at the home of the Hash the “Pacific Bia Tuoi”.  After registrations were complete and the hash bus was loaded with our sponsors beer – Sagota, softies and food, we all excitedly set off to Long Son and the start of the run.  On a rain-soaked day we departed from Boss Café along the bitumen road wearing raincoats for those hashers who wished too, heading to the base of the mountain.  Steadily we ambled along the bitumen road past the rubbish tip and then on to the gravel path in single file as the trail was extensively overgrown.  Reaching the base of the mountain we headed up the start of the climb in a light drizzle but in high spirits.  The bamboo was very thick the undergrowth heavy, but we pressed on in excitement, the trail has interesting as it was a new way up the mountain for hashers and happily, we pressed on.  Up we went higher and higher with the bamboo thickets catching the raincoats tearing them, but spirits were high.  Often hashers were only meters apart but we could not see each other due to the very thick greenery, undeterred we slogged it out all the way up the mountain, then round the side then then back down to the bottom in the misty afternoon.  Racing back along the gravel road we quickly reached the down down spot at the Boss Café.  Arriving back, we hastily ripped into the beer and softies just in time as the heavens opened and then it poured down, but the sweet taste of Sagota imbibed by the hashers took away to dampness of the afternoon.  The Banh Mi was supplemented this week by a magnificent hot beef stew provided by Captain Morgan and enjoyed by all as we sat in the cover of the café and chatted away.  Music was managed by our resident DJ – King Kong as the Sagota was hastily gulped down bottle by bottle as we sang and danced the rainy afternoon away.  But time slipped by as usual and suddenly it was time to board the hash bus and head back to the hash home at the Bia Toui.  With the hash bus loaded the eskie filled with Sagota and placed on the bus along with the hash music box, we enjoyed a great boozy trip home – On On
