This week’s run # 950 was on Long Hai Mountain with the down down at the Eco Lodge. Thirty-Five happy rain-soaked hashers rolled up the home of the Hash the “Pacific Bia Tuoi”. After registrations were complete and the hash bus was jam packed with Sagota beer, softies and food, we all set off to the start of the run. With the bus loaded we got lucky the rains stopped as we headed out to Long Hai. Arriving at the start we donned our hash rain coats in case the heavens opened then we set off. Advancing the muddy trail climbing the gentle slope we slipped and slid along until the undergrowth got thicker, and we could get a better footing. Soon we reached the steps to the temple and with a cool breeze blowing we quickly reached the temple at the summit. Selfie time and with the weather still looking threatening we set off along the ridge line heading to Minh Dam, passing a fast flowing stream we reached the wide trial turned right and set off back in the direction of the Eco lodge. With a cool breeze blowing combined with the pungent aroma of Sagota beer in the air, we raced down the side of the mountain down the steps along the path to the down down spot. With great excitement we ripped into the icy cold Sagota beer, chomped on the fresh banh, enjoyed the tasty sandwiches, and finished off with Fruit platters. But time went fast, the group photo was taken, more Sagota beers were enjoyed. Suitably lubricated it was time for the hashers to return home as the sun began to set in the late afternoon – On On
