This week’s run # 949 was at Nui Thị Vai, just past Phu Mi, with the down down in the temple grounds. After registrations were complete and the hash bus was loaded to the brim with Sagota beer, softies and food, we all set off to the start of the run. Collecting the Russian team at the Russian village we had two fully loaded buses jamming in 75 hashers. The weather was great, slight cloud cover, sun not to hot and a gentle breeze blowing as we set off up the 1200 steps to the temple at the top. Hashers dominated the climb to the top as hashers passed the locals as we ascended step by step, some hashers reached the top in lightning speed and some were not so fast. Reverently we reached the beautiful serne grounds of the temple, selfies ensued then we set off to the summit. Reaching the pinnacle we pressed on past, headed down the trail through the rocky valley, round the side of the mountain descending to the base, passing some small temples until we reached the base of Nui Thi Vai, crossed the little bridge and entered the temples grounds. With the light fading the hashers began to trickle back we ripped into the icy cold Sagota beer, chomping on the fresh banh, enjoyed the tasty chicken curry supplied by Captain Morgan and finished off with Fruit platters. But time went fast, the light was a fading fast as the group photo was taken, more Sagota beers were enjoyed. Suitably lubricated it was time for the hashers to return home, so we filled up the two hash buses and set off back to the hash home – On On
