This week’s run # 947 was on Big Mountain at Vibar 36, with the down down at the Thompsons house. Fifty-eight excited hashers rolled up the home of the Hash the “Pacific Bia Tuoi”. After registrations were complete and the hash beer truck was jam packed with Sagota beer, softies and food, we all set off to Vibar 36 to the start of the run. The sun was shining with not too much cloud cover almost zero, we left the Thompsons house up travelling up the concrete road following the trail to the temple, where we descended the steps into the grounds of the temple. Passing straight through heading to the power line but throwing in a twist we turned left and headed to the M90 trail. Stretched out in Indian file we ascended the side of the mountain steadily climbing higher and higher until we reached the turn off to the waterfall trail. With trepidation for some hashers we went straight up the side of the mountain to Ho May Park and finally reaching the top of the power line trail. After a well-deserved rest with the usual selfie session, we headed down the powerline trail all the way back to the temple grounds. It was a steady descent and the sun was hot the ground dry with a good chance to slip. We descended with haste to the bottom of the powerline into the temple ground racing back to Vibar and on the last leg in a run to the Thompsons house. With no cool breeze blowing it was difficult to smell the pungent aroma of Sagota beer in the air. Undeterred we found the red eskies and with haste we ripped off the tops and gulped down the icy cold Sagota beer. We had no time to think about the fresh banh mi, or the tasty sandwiches, or fruit as the consumption the first three bottles of Sagota took precedent. Music blared, hashers danced as the drank more and more Sagota beer, the group photo was taken with the hashers sitting along the wall at the Thompson house and the circle soon followed. Igor was granted the name Fatboy – Slim due to his well-developed beer gut acquired over the past six months, sinners were doused with copious amounts of Sagota, returnees were tortured for their poor excuses for being away. The party continued well into the afternoon but as 6:30pm approached the hash beer truck arrived collected our hash gear and we all set off back to the beer Tuoi to continue the party – On On
