This week’s run # 944 was on Big Mountain with the down down at Hong Than hotel, sixty-five excited hashers rolled up the home of the Hash the “Pacific Bia Tuoi”.  After registrations were complete and the hash beer tuck was loaded with Sagota beer, softies and food, we all set off on our hash motorbikes to the start of the run.  On a beautiful day with a little cloud cover we set off down the road to the temple steps.  We faced a 610-step climb to the to the top of the mountain to reach the ridge line road, with gusto we ascended the steps in haste in a long line of 65 hashers spaced out over the steps.  After reaching the top of the steps passing a small temple, we descended to the ridge line road and set off on the direction of the Lazaretto bunker.  With a sharp left turn we descended the side of the mountain to the ridge line road below the Lazzaretto bunker,  With another sharp left turn we descended lower past the road that led to French officers’ quarters now derelict, then down lower through the jungle to the 128 French bunker.  It was a cool after noon with a little wind, with whiff of Sagota beer in the air we raced through the bunker descended in haste to Tran Phu road  and we raced back to hem 112  to the down down spot.  With the usual gusto icy cold beers were guzzled, banh mi whoofed down with tasty sandwiches, and all finished off with Fruit.  Music played, hashers jumped in to the swimming pool and the junior hashers enjoyed the paddling pool,  But time went so fast, the group photo was taken, the circle ensued, Mimi was awarded a new hash name of Smiley, then more Sagota beers were enjoyed.  Suitably lubricated it was time for the hashers to return home as the sun began to set in the late afternoon – On On
