This week’s run # 941 was at Tứ Phương Thất Đảo – Bà Rịa, saw 80 happy hashers boarding the two buses booked for the run, at the Pacific Beer Tuoi in Le Loi.  After registrations were complete, we set of on the hash buses to the Russian village to pick the Russian team, making up the 80 hashers all eager to go to Tứ Phương Thất Đảo.  The weather was great a little overcast with a cool breeze blowing as we reached the start point just past Bar Ria.  We were greeted with lush’s green rice paddy fields, a cool breeze as the chalk talk was given by Samson prior to embarking on the rum.  With the chalk talk over we set off along the paddy fields paths, passing farmers in the paddies attending to their crops, over drains, over embankments, crossing drains, stepping in the mud and chatting away.  With the hashers spread out as the walk proceeded as some were more skilled at walking the fields than others. the children enjoyed chasing the ducks, some hashers eagerly helped the farmers by cutting their crops and some hashers bought the bags from the farmers to take home.  The length of the walk was around 4km, over the fields, on to the roads, back into the fields until we reached the down down point, Tứ Phương Thất Đảo.   With the usual gusto icy cold beers were guzzled, banh mi whoofed down with tasty sandwiches, Indian curry provided by Mr. Trevor and all finished off with Fruit.  Music played, hashers danced, the children went fishing and selfies were taken in the picturesque gardens.  But time went so fast, the group photo was taken, the circle ensued and then it was time to return home as the sun began to set in the late afternoon – On On
