This week’s run 938 on Long Son Island started at Uno Coffee where 38 hashers arrived for our first away trail after the corona lock down had eased.  With excitement we registered and boarded the bus heading to the Russian Village to collect the Russian team.  Loaded up with all the hashers we set off for Long Son Island, air-condition blowing cool air on the new bus we navigated the back streets of Vung Tau then headed to Ba Ria then turned off to Long Son.  Arriving at the start point of the run we collected two more hashers who met us there.  Within trepidation we set off up the side of the mountain climbing up the steps that are new, through the new house and on up the mountain side in the hot sun till we reached the summit.  After a rest, many selfie shot’s and a group picture on the top of the mountain, we set off along the ridge line, soon we started to descend following the taped trail.  The weather was hot the mountain side dry and slippery, but down down we went lower and lower, passing many terraced levels till we hit the road to the down down site.  We could smell the sweet scent of the icy cold Sagota beer, so with hast we made it back to the bus.  It was not long before the beer was flowing, food, cakes, banh mi and softies were being consumed.  Dancing ensued to wonderful music, the circle flowed, and a great time was had by all – On On
