Big Mountain – Thompsons

This week’s run 936 on Big Mountain started at the Thompsons house 28 eager hashers assembled at the Thompson’s house eagerly awaiting the start of the run. With the sun beating down we were off, descending Vibar 36 road we turned left and headed down to the old sawmill, down the steps with a rush we entered the road heading to the next turn. Weaving through the back streets of Le Loi we eventually reached the steps to the Temple, with excitement we began the climb, to the Temple turn off. Passing many houses as we ascended the steps, we climbed on up steps reaching step120, step 240, step 325, then step 467 we entered the Cambodian temple. On On we went climbing the rail track up to Ho May heading to Ben Ding bunker. In the hot sun sweating and winded we finally reached the Den Ding gun position. After a group photo a well-earned rest with the whiff of Sagota beer in the air emanating from the down down, we raced down the mountainside, skidding, sliding, bumping over rocks. Down down we descended to the turn off that lead to the Thompsons house. With the whiff of beer getting stronger we bounced over the rocks, slithered down the side of the big boulders, passing through dusty patches we finally reached the concrete road to the down down. With glee we arrived back at the Thompsons house, no time was wasted to open the icy cool Sagota beer, enjoy the beautiful array of food with the juniors gulping down the cold softies. With music blaring we danced and partied into the afternoon. With the circle complete virgins doused with icy cold water, we returned to partying and enjoyed a great down down late into the evening at the Thompsons house – On On
