Small Mountain – Valley Beach

This week’s trail Run 931 was on Small Mountain, 35 happy hashers registered at our base Uno Coffee, at 1:30pm sharp we departed Uno Coffee proceeding along Ha Long road heading toward the temple next to the O-Cap Hotel in the hot sun, we climbed the temple steps winding our way up to the army road. Once reached we turned left and headed down to Hi Dang road and on to the Lighthouse so the hashers thought.  To our relief Flying Finn was standing at the steps on Hi Dang road that lead down to Phan Chu Trinh.  Weaving through the back streets reaching Phan Chu Trinh, we turned right and headed to Hem 298.  In the hot sun the happy hashers reached the right tun at hem 298, with glee proceeded to climb Small Mountain past the quarry and on to the Jesus statue.  After the pleasant ascent we reached the 830 Jesus steps and with the whiff of Sagota beer in the air we raced down the steps to Valley Beach to the down down.  After downing our icy cold Sagota beer, iced soft drinks, the hashers enjoyed a spectacular array of food including banh mi, sandwiches, chocolates wine and cake to celebrate that special day “International Women’s Day. At the   down down we were joined by our sponsor from Sagota Mr. Tien and the owner of Valley Beach, where we all enjoyed the afternoons cool breeze sliding in form the sea and drinking our icy cold refreshments – On On
