This week’s run 929 was on Nui Dinh mountain, 93 happy hashes all arrived at our base Uno Coffee eagerly awaiting to board the two hash buses booked to take us to the start point of today’s trail. The weather was good not too hot with a little cloud cover, excitedly the 93 hashers boarded the buses, the beer, food and softies were loaded, and at 1:30pm sharp the buses departed for the start of the trail.. Upon arrival the hashers exited the buses, a quick chalk take ensued and then we were off climbing up the side of Nui Dinh on a long winding 2.5 kilometre shady trail. Up we went On – On and on we went, steadily ascending to the peak, there seemed to be no end in the constant climb, only interrupted by short respite stops of flat level ground, but we kept going up and up. After an hours solid climbing we reached the peak, to be delighted to see the lake, a cool breeze blowing and boats sailing on the lake. After a brief encounter with a pack of noisy dogs at the coffee shop we wound our way to the down down spot near the temple. With gusto we opened our icy chilled Sagota beer and drank at a feverish pace to quench our thirst. Out came the rock box and suddenly the serene mountain top was filled with music, energy returned, dancing broke out which went on and on as we consumed 12 crates of our sponsor beer, but alas 5:30pm approached the circle complete, the hashers well lubricated we sadly boarded the buses for the return journey back to our base Uno Coffee – On On
