Harriers: 55

Run 928 this week was on Small Mountain the Uno to Uno Coffee run, 1:30pm arrived and 55 charged up hashers were ready to be released for the run, the chalk talk was done, were off on the trail exiting Uno Coffee turning left up the lane way beside Uno Coffee, up the steps to the mountain side we climbed where a steep climb ensued, as the climb took its toll the line of 55 hashers began to spread out.  After 30 minutes and with help from each other we reached the army road on the side of the mountain, a hard climb for some and not so hard for others.  After a welcomed rest we set off down the army road enjoying the view and the great weather,  On On we went round the mountain, past the observation caves carved in the side of the mountain, On On to the to the Bastion two, position one, French bunker. Over the side of the mountain we descended heading towards the temple in the distance, down we rolled through the dry grassy mountain side as it’s getting hotter as we go.  But not to be deterred the excited hashers descended the steps of the temple arriving back to the army road where we turned left and headed up the army road to the next temple turn off.  We hurriedly descended the steps in the now baking sun to Ha Long road, with gusto we all turned left and headed back to Uno Coffee.  It was not long as the trickle of hash returned and began to grow the Sagota beer was flowing vivaciously,  On On we went enjoying the icy cold Sagota, the younger hasher gulping down the softies, banh mi flowed, music arrived and the party began, On On until late in the afternoon the hashers partied, as the sun began to set the party began to wind down everyone suitably imbibed with liquid refreshments lamenting the day – On On only 7 days to the next run.
