This week’s trail on Big Mountain was a test of will, the day was hot, the sun beating down, twenty five hashers registered at our home base Uno Coffee: 1:30pm came and it was time to head to the Beer Hoi, the trail start point. With motorbikes parked all hashers present, we set off along the Li Loi heading to Chippy’s house, passing Chippy’s house we moved on to hem 89 that led to Vibar road. In the shade of a tree on Vibar, Flying Finn explained the days trail at the chalk talk prior to heading up Vibar road to the turn off point that took us to the waterfall trail. The climb up the trail to the waterfall was challenging, it was hot, no shade and long. The crossroad junction was reached, we stopped for short break to round up the hashers, a group photo was the order of the day prior to heading round the side of big mountain on the waterfall trail. Moving in Indian file we traversed the waterfall trail, up and down, then more down and up till we reached the new concrete road at Vibar. Heading down Vibar in the hot sun we reached the row of shops selling refreshments, we stopped for a short respite enjoying icy cold drinks to help quench our thirst, off we went again down Vibar, past the monkey temple, down more till we reached the White House, with the end of the trail not far we scooted down the side of the mountain through the White House turning on the main road and racing back to the beer hoi. The day was hot, icy cold glasses of beer were consumed at a rapid rate, as usual we gorged ourselves on the delicious array of chicken, squid and other great food. Mr. Sagota arrived to celebrate with us, the group photo was taken with the beer hoi owner. We drank, ate and chatted the afternoon away whilst enjoying the afternoons entertainment provided by G-String on his guitar and the atmosphere of happiness – On On
